Frozen Steel – 2D Platformer Arena Game
Gameplay Programmer & Sound Implementation
Brief Summary:
Frozen Steel is a fast-paced single–player 2D platformer arena, PC game that takes place during a fictional earth’s ice age inhabited by an advanced society of penguins. The planet is being invaded by M.A.S, mutant alien seals that consumed all their resources from their home planet Mabaku and now are attempting to raid earth. During the chaos, a thought-to-be failed experiment codename M.A.R.C (Mechanically Advanced Retro Cyborg) , the penguin, rises and must bash the enemies back to their ships to destroy the invading fleet.
In this project my main tasks were around the implementation of the main character’s movement and attacks, as well as the boss movement and abilities and some gameplay components such as jump pads and frozen areas for the character to slide. As a secondary role I was in charge to implement the sound for the whole game.
Paper Samurai – 3D Hack and Slash Isometric Game

Brief Summary:
Paper Samurai is a 3D isometric hack and slash PC game, where the player controls a samurai made from washi paper who wields a washi katana as its main weapon. The game features environments and traditional Japanese architecture, paper demons as enemies, and a dark setting in one mysterious samurai old town. Throughout the game, the player must escape from the Great Demon, a big hovering paper mask, while defeating incoming smaller demons. To free the town from this evil, the player must find three seals scattered around that will power their sword to defeat the Great Demon.
I was in charge of the AI for each of the four enemy types in the game. Also I was tasked with the gameplay programming for some mechanisms and implementing the UI on engine.

Drone Factory – VR Laboratory Simulator

Brief Summary:
A Virtual Reality approach to simulate a drone factory with robotic arms operated with touchpads, machinery such as milling machines and conveyor belts. The goal of the project was to successfully demonstrate the applications of Virtual Reality to education or training programs such as the case of the Drone Factory.
This team project I mostly worked on the implementation of the VR tools with simulated touchpads, also the simulation of machinery functionalities and the UI for the controls to be expressed to the users.
Drench Game – Mobile Puzzle Game For Android

Brief Summary:
A small puzzle game for Android OS that imitates an existing game called drench. It consists in a table of multiple colored tiles that need to be changed all to the same color before a number of turns occur.
This project was made for an Android class in order to show the skills learned with Android Studio. Since it was a solo project, I was in charge of the gameplay programming as well as the UI design and implementation for the project.


Minesweeper – Web Game

Brief Summary:
A Minesweeper game made with html5, css and javascript for web. The game simulates the classic functionalities from the minesweeper game maintaining the classic hidden cells and the goal being flag all the cells that may contain a bomb and reveal all the safe zones. The player could take hints of each of the safe cells by checking the number of adjacent mines to each of the revealed cells.
This project was made to enhance and demonstrate my html5, css, and javascript skills. Being a solo project, I did all the programming required as well as the UI however, the focus on this project was demonstrating the functionalities of the game.
Card Deck Viewer – UI Design

Brief Summary:
A card deck viewer user interface mock up. The goal of this project was to investigate and create a wireframe and a user flow experience for a card deck builder with combination and an additional feature. The additional feature I implemented was a pack buying page to get new cards. In this project I wanted to showcase my skills with adobe Xd and also as a rapid prototype for a UI screen.

Farm Sim – Unreal Engine Project
Solo project
Brief Summary:
This project consisted on creating a Farm simulator using only Unreal Engine Blueprints. The goal is recolecting vegetables and preventing pests to get near them by using traps. First video is shown a Freeze trap which slows pests after entering the blue area and if they stay 3 seconds or more inside the freezing area they will freeze for 10 seconds. The second video displays a Heatdome trap in which if the pest stays for 3 seconds or more, the pest will be removed as if it was burnt.
This project was made to practice and demonstrate how powerful Unreal Engine Blueprints can be that it is possible to create a mini-game using them.
Quantum Links – 2D Battle Arena

Brief Summary:
A 2D top view multiplayer battle arena made with Unity in which a human and an alien join forces to fend off microscopical enemies who want to rule over all the macroscopic world. Human and Alien are separated on different battle arenas but they can cooperate by sending each other weapons or items through portals.
